ship. In the Far Side of the World O'Brian was depicting war of 1812 action.
So the USS Constitution was a highly appropriate model for the "French"
ship, though I do recall in the movie it was acknowledged to be American
built.

partial set in a tank for the close stuff. Weta built miniatures were used.
Amongst other sources USS Constitution was used as a reference, but there

H.M.S. Rose is listed? I'm assuming it played via split screen both
roles as the British and French warships.
