Common Sense Designs

CSD plans are poor quality, slowly delivered (if at all), rip offs
without ANY royalty being paid to Phil for over a decade.

Nuff' said.

Bruce Hector
Who'd rather build from doodles on a napkin than form anything from CSD.
Of course, I don't know the origin of the
plans for sale on EBay. By virtue that both
of these are sold at the same time and that
both designs are associated with Elroe LaRowe,
who passed on and was the genesis of Common
Sense Boats/Designs plan selling business.

Bolger has written, [see message 1250

"- CSD (CSB?!) are the de facto successors to LaRowe
with the right on a very few designs to sell -
NON-EXCLUSIVELY -, assuming the already minimal
royalty payments are met, which has NOT been the case
for while."

Lacking the royalty payment, I am left to wonder about
what the building rights are for CSB/CSD plans?

Bolger has also written elsewhere that the only
authorized seller of his plans are Phil Bolger &
Friends, and Dynamite Payson.

The plans may have already been used to build a boat,
but I bet not!

What exactly do you mean by this:

these are probably old 'Common Sense'
plans, with unclear building rights....?

Are you suggesting the boat has already been built or something
about common sense boats?
Thanks for the link,
