Please let us know when you have the pictures up. I've been
wondering if anyone would build one.

Reed
Ahoy Bolgeristas,

I just talked to my brother, David last night. He and his wife, Anke
are over in Sitka with their boat LUNA. They're completing the
prototype of their Bolgeresque design, TRILOBITE. Those of you who
peruse duckworks.com may remember it from one of the design contests.
It's similar to BIRDWATCHER, 15' and about a 4' beam, with the ability
to flop over on one side or the other with the deadlights down for
underwater viewing. They plan to rig it with a crab claw, although a
SURF rig may be used for the launch, which is set for this coming
Sunday. Dave reports several refinements to the design, and is
searching for a new name for it. He's already fielding offers for the
prototype (most from the loudest initial doubters, interestingly
enough!) and is thinking of selling plans once the prototype is
thoroughly tested and he can write up a log of the building process.

He says he's taken lots of photos, which I'll be posting on Dave and
Anke's section of our Web site
(http://www.alaska.net/~mzeiger/Boat_Building.html)as soon as I
receive them.

If you're inclined, please pause to send a happy thought for the
launch on Sunday!

Fair Winds!
