Bruce,
It's closer to 50 sheets of 1/2"..........

That boat has remained
unsold for two years or so.

I would bet that the wood
would amount to less than 10%
of the cost of the boat, but
I estimate 40 sheets of 1/4".

The big money needed to build
this boat is the motor, hardware,
photovoltaic system/battery bank,
polycarbonate, upholstry, tanks,
etc. ... guessing $10-$20K ???
and perhaps 800 manhours?

> What is the headroom?

You probably noticed that the
seating area in the middle is
on a raised platform, and does
not have standing headroom, but
has 5'3".

The forward galley area headroom
scales to about 7'1", and the
aft toilet room to about 6'4".

Still, a really cool boat, I am
close wanting to build one too!
If I were a rich man and could live to be 250 years
old I'd build 20 different great boats for various
purposes...so many neat boats, so little time, alas!!!

Anyway, there's a Bolger 22.5 foot Champlain cruiser
on the web. In one place it says someone put $70,000
into its building.....hello? Anyway, does anyone know
how much plywood goes into this boat, and, What is the
headroom as I'm physically challenged at 6feet 4.5
inches tall???
