Great Lakes Small Craft Symposium 3
Hello,
Its only 4 weeks till the "Great Lakes Small Craft Symposium
3"
August 19, 2000 in Saginaw, Michigan. Open to all types of wooden
boats. From restorations to that just completed new Bolger design,
every one is welcome. This is a very focused event on boat
restoration and new construction. If you have built or restored a
boat or are planning to restore or build a boat, then this event is
for you! We also highly encourage model boat builders and outboard
collectors to attend. Our temporary boat ramp will be in place for
use. This year's event will host seminars and demonstrations in
Polysail making by Dave Gray, Scarfing and Tool blade sharpening with
Bill Ryno from "Brightwood Boats" epoxy seminars by "West
System/Reg.
TM.", Finishing by Interlux's Pete Mathews and much more.
There are
plenty of sandy beaches along with a beautiful lake, so bring the
kids and enjoy the day. Door prizes are arriving daily and goody bags
will be filled with all kinds of neat stuff. Our wacky award system
is in place and should account for some big laughs! For more info,
view our web-site at:http://glscs.hypermart.netor call (517) 781-
3546, e-mail isgmcquinn@...There is online registration at
the website along with pictures of past events, a map and a view of
this years raffle boat, a Cajun Pirogue from "Uncle John's
Country
Store" It is slated to be painted this week and looks great!
Someone
will win a very nice boat!
The last two events have been warm and sunny so bring canopies and/or
sun block!

completed Cajun Pirogue. The focus of this event is boat building and
restoration. There will be epoxy seminars and ongoing boat building and

awards and more.
Thanks,
