IF you do go aboard that weirdo Martha-Jane ,Chris Nye will try to get you onto Noni Juice, some expensive alternate medicine cure-all for every affliction from alcoholism to Zits !!!! he believes it works!! A bit odd maybe, but look at the boat, surely one could tell at a glance ??!!

The Fellow would be called Chris Nye, the woman Margie Callaghan. The modified Martha Jane when first launched ( In not quite so modified form) weathered out a severe gale in Bass strait and made an unintentional passage from South Australia across Bass Strait to the Rubicon River, Port Sorell, Tasmania.At that time, probably 10+ years ago, both Chris and Margie had very little (Margie I think no experience) of sailing. This goes to prove luck and good boat design go hand in hand together!!.
My family and I met Chris and Margie then. They stayed around the Port Sorell area for a couple of months or so then before making their way back to South Australia.
My father has kept in occassional contact with them, but hasn't heard from them recently. They like their privacy!!

MJ had a lengthened? sharp? bow with bulbous forefoot below(as seen
on ships, power and some larger sailing catamarans, skulpted of
glassed foam, the chines rounded for some distance abaft, as best I
could see) made NO splash ripple or wave in estimated wind to 10kts,
sea to 2ft, and boatspeed to weather to 5kts. Hardly pitched. She
left no wake upon the sea, a friend free to pass.
Smooth effortless light. If memory serves, she had aqua/green
topsides, cream decks with red highlights. Wow she looked something;
intriguing too. As she zigged through the wind zagged on her chine.
