Re: Sneakeasy Update

Hi Steve,

20 knots would be great. Perfect for it's intended use. After you
changed your windshield, do you remember the dimensions of the Lexan
pieces?

I had a 15 hp on my Sneakeasy and sh did 14.5 knots with me alone in
the boat. The 25 should top out around 20 or more .
Bolger limits to 35 hp anyway because of the hazard in a high speed
sharp turn, it may tumble.

Hello Group,Well, I put the last piece of wood on my Sneakeasy last
night. Despite snow, rain, pollen, leaves, and bugs, I managed to put
it all together. All that remains is some minor epoxy work, fairing
and painting. I may even trim the windshield down a bit. It looks a
little too high.

I'll post some pics once it looks a little better. I have primer here
and there to protect the epoxy and it doesn't look so good with all
the tree droppings on it. But that's the beauty of wood and epoxy. We
can always make it look nice in the end. Does anyone know the
structural qualities of a epoxy/gnat & mosquito coating. Hee!

The boat is still light after all my work. I can still lift the bow
with one arm. However, I'm wondering if my 25hp is enough power. I'll
find out soon enough. Launch should be within the next two weeks.
