Re: smallshelters-Brick Rebuild
That's too bad. Our stock one only weighs about 75 lbs, which is fairly
easy for me to handle alone except for the bulk. Did you use thicker
plywood or something? You may want to beef up the mast step to make up
for the shallower "bury". I can't imagine a Brick that's too heavy for a
trailer. Maybe you just need some wheels or something.

I am going to cut the top off and leave the bottom 16"-like the PDRacer-"Bucket Ears" At the PdRacer Web Site. I would go out and chop it off tonight if the Neihgbors wouldn't call the Cops about the noise! I really am having a great time Sailing-just need an easier way to get it on and off the Water and Trailer. The only way to do that is to make it lighter. {It might even go faster!?}

Dave,
That might not save as much weight as it seems. An 8" slice of fir plywood off the top
weighs just 20 pounds; probably what your keels weigh, but even with them overall still
less than a hundred pounds total. A roller at the back of the trailer and a winch in front
could make all the difference if you'd care to retain the, "Thirty footer cockpit."
Or isn't there a ramp to back on down on?
