smallshelters-Brick Rebuild done
Greetings-
I cut the top off the brick today and now it is light enough for me to handle. I have to put a roller in the trailer {It is a Flatbed} the wheels are in the front but even with them It was very hard to move around {small wheels off the front of a wheelchair} I don't have a ramp on the trailer-yet but that would sure help. I don't know how much weight I took off but it made the difference.
Thank You All

Dave,
That might not save as much weight as it seems. An 8" slice of fir plywood off the top
weighs just 20 pounds; probably what your keels weigh, but even with them overall still
less than a hundred pounds total. A roller at the back of the trailer and a winch in front
could make all the difference if you'd care to retain the, "Thirty footer cockpit."
Or isn't there a ramp to back on down on?

I am going to cut the top off and leave the bottom 16"-like the PDRacer-"Bucket Ears" At the PdRacer Web Site. I would go out and chop it off tonight if the Neihgbors wouldn't call the Cops about the noise! I really am having a great time Sailing-just need an easier way to get it on and off the Water and Trailer. The only way to do that is to make it lighter. {It might even go faster!?}
