Re: [bolger] Pictures of Port Sorell/ Tyson's Boatbuilding /Boat Storage Shed
OK, I'll do that next time I post something.
Yes the trees are everegreen, being mainly eucalyptus(Gum trees as we call them here). Winter in Tasmania could be considered fairly mild if you are used to months of snow. We do get quite a bit of snow, but it mainly falls on the central plateau and highlands. It can get reasonably cold here but it would be a very rare day(Winter) for the temperature to drop below about 5 degrees centigrade.

I do enjoy seeing other parts of the world. Thank you for posting them.
Are the trees "evergreen?" Mid winter in the American midwest is not nearly
so green.
Thanks,
Roger

Hello everyone,
I've just posted some photos in Bolger 4 group files of the Port
Sorell(Tasmania, Australia) area where my parents live and where the
Tyson family keeps and builds its various Bolger Boats.Folder is
called "Tyson's New "Temporary Boat shed" or something close to
that.
Of particular note to Pierre-ter Lenihan and Le Mouton Noir de
Kingston is that its now Winter here(Tasmania,Australia), but we
still get some quite nice days without a lot of that soft(sometimes
hard), white, cold stuff that interrupts boatbuilding and boating
activities, though I must say swimming is definately out unless
you've got masochistic tendencies or are just plain clumsy when
boating!!!!
