THe cokmpany is run by Paul Oman, has been around for years, and Paul has
some presence on rec.boats.building and elsewhere. I've never heard a
complaint about it, and Paul knows plenty enough and is willing to share.
I have not used it myself.

While you have the moral high ground, you do not have the legal high
ground, and if caught and police were called, it would have been you, not
the other possessor who would've taken a ride in the Crown Victoria. The
person is current possession may well have paid for the punt from someone
who got it as a gift from someone who knew someone who stole it. It's a
risky business all around, and you may wish to take note of the statute of
limitations on the behavior, and keep a low profile until then.

I'm not saying you weren't right, I'm just saying it wasn't legal.
