Re: Micro Navigator up on trailer.

Most who see my Navigator also think it's an old boat being restored
too. They also think it's a power launch, and look for the propeller.

Working in the front yard is a great opportunity
to meet and visit with the neighbors, both the
familar, and the total strangers. The women
tend to say "how cute!". The guys want to know
if I am restoring an old boat, and why there are
holes in the front.

Words can hardly describe my thoughts,
after such a long time 'building' about to
transition into 'using'. This will be a major
change, hard to imagine really. I really
enjoy 'boat time' in the shop, will I enjoy
boat time in the boat as much?

Two pieces of 1/4" polycarbonate, fit
into slots. They overlap each other like
feathers, plus the sill is stairstepped
so that it sheads water pretty good.

Which year?
<tongue in cheek>
I misjudge my launch date by a year.
Looks great. She's got style.
Can't wait to see it on the water......navigator sure has an old
school tug boat look. I love it. Funny how it grows on you as you
spend hours staring at the plans and fitting it all together.

Does your conpanionway, have a polycarbonate door or washboards?,
can't make it out in the picture, but i don't see much lumber. I
sure like the jessie cooper doors but don't think i can get a good
enough seal to suit me, since my bunk is directly below.

I've got to get back to work on my navigator, taken a few weeks off
cause i ran out of epoxy, but the ups man just delivered another
load of that foul stuff.

August launch or bust!
Gosh Bruce, you must take the award for the most romantic boat ever
built in the Group! Lucky Peter Jackson did not see it....would be
perfect for the elves in Lord of the Rings! The Arabian Nights would
not be out of contention either.
Congratulations and keep it coming,

Show photos of this weekend's boatbuilding.

Mizzen sail made, got to re-do the sprit
which is too short.

Getting the boat up on the trailer was
a bear, I mangled the 4 prong elecrical
connector in the process.

The blade of the yuloh seems a little
long, but I want to try it first, and
then if need be cut it down.
