Nice picture David.
But GPS electronics in a Bolger box!....go wash out your mouth with
soap! :-)
Have you thought about a sliding seat for single handing? I would
think she would be ideal for one. At the very least you could lash
your Newfie to the end of it and take it easy yourself.

FBBB,

For those who would like to see a photo of the much celebrated Light
Scooner Margaret Ellen, I have placed one from today's outing on our
server:

http://www.crumblingempire.com/scooner6.20.jpg

You will notice that I have my Newfoundland dog Roxann aboard; so
strictly speaking I'm not singlehanding. You'll also notice the top
of my raggedy daggerboard extending over the side of the cockpit in
front of me. Between the dog and the waterlogged daggerboard, that
probably counts as another person sitting on the deck.

To get close enough for a good picture from shore, I'm skimming in
about a foot of water. My kick up rudder is kicked up, and by the GPS
we were making about 5 knots.

YIBB,

David
