[bolger] re: bolgerish J24
If you can't go the catamaran route, and you want really good windward
performance, then I would really suggest a sloop, and perhaps an
un-Bolger boat.
What about Eric Sponberg's Delft 25. I don't know what a fair PHRF
would be (175-225?) but it's the right size, home buildable, has a
certain style, and the rotating windmast would be fun to sail with.
It's trailerable (he says), and unsinkable (he says).

I'm not sure you could get an official PHRF rating with the rotating
mast.
A question for you experienced builders out there: which is
hardest/easiest to build of Red Zinger, Delft 25, Norwalk Island
Sharpie 26, Wharram Tiki 21 or 26?
I believe that Bruce Kirby has his own NIS26 built 'short' to get under
some sort of length limit that applies to non-citizens.
Peter (in SW Connecticut where some crocuses are in bloom, but the
daffodils are not, and there was skim ice on the ponds just a couple of
days ago)
There are plenty of other possible multihulls out there. Do you want a
list?
