I get a sense that the rig was available so the boat was modified to
fit the rig.
I would love to hear more details about what she sails like.
would the changes in the deck and sailplan mean that you can no
longer steer by sails alone.
the only 'mods' we had in mind was to fancy up the above decks area
with some really nice timberwork .we've a big pile of timber like
Jarrah, baltic pine, some old clear doug fir, huon pine plus small
pieces of desert timbers like Mulga, western myall, beefwood.
They would be ideal for cleats etc.
cheers all , paul

looks good.
I thought long and hard about navigatoring an oldshoe but believed
it would be too small. Having got most of my micro together i
realize the oldshoe would have been sufficient, cheaper and easier
to deal with.....not to mention closer to being done by now. It's
amazing how large square boats are on the inside compared to round
bilge boats almost everyone is used to.
I like it, please post more photos and descriptions of what you've
done.....i.e. cuddy and stayed rig.

Well now, that has got to be the understatement of the year ajwatts!
However, despite looking almost nothing like an Old Shoe,I do
appreciate what you have done with the design.Perhaps you could post
a few more pictures,in one of the Bolger groups, and give us some
text about your changes and how she handles under sail etc....:-)
Happy sailing!
