good news!
Looking at the performance of the Euro w.r.t. to the Dollar, I imagine
that half of the US citizens will show up in Europe...
I'm located in Matera, 40°40' N, 16°37' E, 400 m above the sea level.
30 minutes driving from the nearest beach, 1 hour driving from Bari, 3
hours from Naples, 5 hours from Rome. Nearest touristic ports are
Taranto and Sibari (Ionian sea), Bari and many others on the Adriatic,
Salerno and many others on the Thyrrenian.
I've never rent a sailboat but I'll ask around. Big ones are pretty
expensive though, as almost anything related to sailing.
Let me know when do you expect to come, and where in Italy would you
like to go.

Hi my Italian friends,

I am looking at taking a vacation in Italy for 2-3 weeks. I would like
to charter a sailboat for a few days to a week if the prices are decent
(read bolger type prices). Are there sailboats to rent inexpensive?
Small sailboats for the day or overnighters?

I would love to come buy and see your project Pippo. Where are you
located?

I will be happy to bring pictures of my finished Folding Schooner.
It's not yet done but close.
