If all you need is 'light glass tape'...

In a pinch I have used ripped up strips of an old dress shirt,
instead of fiberglass tape. Ripping up an old bed sheet
would yield longer strips. They turned out to be plenty strong,
and the price was right.

That shirt was some kind of synthetic blend, but even plain cotton
cloth, encased in epoxy resin would not be subject to rot any year
soon.
hey folks quick question.
I got my micro up on blocks this morning, no sweat took about 30
minutes. I slacked out of work today and have got the pilot house
all cut up and tacked together and hope to get it wired up tonite.
My girlfriend is stealing my car for the weekend and i havn't any
light glass tape to get the house solid. Does wal mart, lowes or the
likes have any glass tape that is compatable with epoxy? I have some
heavy biaxel tape in the basement but that stuff is awful on tight
curves. I also have some dynel left over i could cut to strips but
i'm not sure about the unwravel factor. West marine is two hours
away and i really don't want to drive up there tonite before my s.o.
takes off with my wheels. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jason
