Re: Windsprint and Featherwind under oars

But also...

If either boat were given the Michalak style of pivoting leeboard, the tip could be
immersed just a bit for rowing.

Gene, I used to sail an FW. Since I had no motor, I rowed when I
needed to. The FW does pretty well. It's lack of a skeg means that it
does not track well. My friend, who owns this boat now, rows it
frequently and he set up a tiller tamer arrangement. He rows with the
rudder down and rows for exercise. Me, if I was rowing solely, I
would get a design specific to that. Since I only rowed and row now
when the wind dies, I can tolerate the inconvenience of trying to
keep the boat on track.

Hello All:

Can anyone tell me how Windsprint or Featherwind do under oars?
I assume not as well as Junebug due to the wider beam. Anyone have
opinions or experiences to share?

Thanks
