Monsieur Le Baron de Kingston,
So sorry to read about your impending surgery on ye olde bag
pipes.Of course,if push ever came to shove,we could fix you up with
an IV drip straight from a vat of your "freshest" batch of
hooch...er....a....Chateau de Baron Rotgut, while you get towed
behind the TIMS vessel, all the while reposing, with the greatest of
ease,in your very own inner tube, inflated to just the right psi so
as to not occassion any painful rubber rashes, while the family
jewels hang suspended and gently cooled and stroked by the almost
crystal clear waters of the Rideau River. With any kind of luck, the
IV drip will soon have you singing the praises of "hydro therapy"
or,at the very least, singing some favorite bar-room ditty as you
entertain the little fishies from bellow and keep the other boaters
guessing as to exactly whatthehell is that fellow hollering about
from his inner tube :-)
Of course it will require an able helmsman for the TIMS towing
unit to ensure you aren't accidently towed over some shallow areas
thus exposing the "essential" you to all sorts of horrible ravages.I
would gladly volenteer but I would rather be in the inner tube, next
to you, monitoring the IV drip and taking regular(frequent?) quality
control samples of the good "medicine"..........

Hope it all goes well, without too much lost sleep, and that in
very quick order you return to your usual,fit-as-a-fiddle-drink-em-
under-the-table-any-drink-anywhere robust self :-)!

Sincerely,

Peter Lenihan, busy and up to his ears in wood dust with Windermere
despite the growing pile of dead soldiers...............

Thanks Sue,

The surgery is minor and scheduled for 27 Aug., but it is in a rather
tender spot. The prognosis is excellent but the recovery calls for
about two weeks of extreme "southerly" tenderness. Hence I won't be
up to much Messingaboutness.

I wish it were otherwise, but because of our busy fall season, it's
better now than later.

Ouch... it really is Friday the 13th. :-( I hope everything goes
well, and best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Sorry all, due to health reasons, the 2004 Kingston Messabout is
cancelled. I've some surgery scheduled and recovery will not be
complete in time.
