Get an old 55 Gal. Drum and fill it with fresh water and run the motor for 5
minutes each time you take it in saltwater. As a boy on St. Vincent W.I.
that is what we did with our Seagull and Evenrude....never had any problems
with them.
system is constantly clogging up with salt deposits. I'm told that Yamaha
uses a very narrow tube in their cooling line, much smaller than what
previously was the norm. <<<<<
