Jack, I'm afraid not. Your impression is a side-effect of the norwenglish tendency of confusion the message. What I do mean is exactly what you suggest as alternative expressions. I.e. the second phrase: "...working like hell.." covers my professional effort for the time being. I have been occupied with several other projects this winter: moving into a new home, refurnishing (is that correct?) a bathroom, birth of my fourth child and an appendectomy with postoperative wound infection (still not healed).

I thought you'd never ask!! Have a look at my skeg/rudder/rudderblade/tiller assembly in the vault (WDJ/22MAR2000). Bill Jochems agrees with me: the most complicated and time consuming part of the boat so far (the tabernacles remain to be constructed).
