I've read it...I gave my copy to my son-in-law because I liked it so
much. It's a great yarn about sailing the San Juan Islands, simply.
It's also a great family togetherness story.

Apparently not many people read it either, based on the number of web
pages Google returned. Anyone here read it? Is it worth the effort of
finding a copy?

old issues of MAIB.

Yes, Reminds me of a TV ad. that runs here for garden furniture with
a "simplistic design".

But then, what about the "magazine for wooden boat owners"? What's
wrong with old-fashioned flesh and blood?

Does anyone have a copy of the Simplistic Sailboat by Dan Hookham
that they would care to part with for a reasonable cost? Or a
possible loan? Apparently, it is about a Birdwatcher knockoff, and
since I am finally considering building one, I thought the book might
provide a bit of inspiration.

Thanks,
Paul
www.bookfinder.com works really well for me.

Did not get a hit on this book however.

Hi John,

I've always had good luck at www.powells.com. Huge selection of both
mainstream and obscure. Very good w/such arcane subjects as boating.

Good Luck,

I have the book, and no I couldn't find a seller or the publisher in a quick search. I did find
Dan Hookham, though, so I'll send you his address and phone offline.

I am after a copy of "The Simplistic Sailboat" by Dan Hookham. I
have tried NauticalMind, but they are unable to track the publisher
down. The publisher is:

Still Water Boats
PO Box 773
Bellingham WA 98227-0773

and I assume this is Dan Hookham. Does anyone out there know where
he can be contacted or where there might be a second hand copy of
the book for sale,

Regards,

go to Amazon.com and type in the same information and you will probably get
several choices as to new or used volumes of the book you seek.
