Bruce Tyson has started another Bolger boat - a "Spur II"
Hi everyone,
While my father is still yet to launch his Bolger designed "Dolly T"
('Harbinger'-From "Folding Schooner" Book) catboat( soon, very soon,
I promise!) he's already started on the next project. A "Spur II"
clinker ply "Whitehall" type, fast and lightweight rowing boat from
Bolger's Book, "Boats with an Open Mind" .
Construction is only in the begining stages at present , but he's
got all the molds , inner stem, transom and keelson setup on the
building frame. he's now about to start the hardest part of the
building, lining off the planks, so everything looks right and even!

starting with "Port Sorell 017" which is a picture of an Oughtred
clinker ply dinghy which is "Merlin"'s Tender which my father built
about 4 years ago and has been used nearly everyday since.
The pictures of the new "Spur II" begin under the heading "Spur II
017" and follow through to "Spur II" 023 in the "Merlin and Sabre"
Folder in the files section.
I'll keep posting photos as the construction evolves.
Also when "Dolly T" is FINALLY launced and sailed!
