Re: New to list

Thank you for the kind words Graeme. I am just loving this project,
I had no idea it would be this fun.. now I know why folks can get
addicted to it. I took my wood plug down to the foundry last week
and they (kindly) rejected it... said it had to have "mold release
bevels on the edges".. so I had to take bondo, nail on a "dam"
around the perimeter of one side so that I would have an angle using
my spatula worked great and sanded out nice.. first time using
Bondo..nice stuff, but quick to kick. Plug goes to the foundry
tomorrow and will take a couple of weeks. I'll try to get some
pictures of the casting process.
Best regards,
Dennis

Howdy Folks,
I started the build of Bolger's Old Shoe early this summer and have
been having quite a time of it. I'm finding this list very helpful and
interesting and hope that an exchange of ideas will help me with this
project which has turned into much more than I had thought it would be
in the beginning. I have a web site that is showing the build for
those interested, take a look:

Fairwinds to all.

Welcome to the list. It's too bad you didn't join until Friday. I was in
Portland until Friday morning of last week when I returned home to Atlanta.
I've built a Windsprint myself and would be glad to discuss my experiences.
Skip the model and get to building the real thing! It really is about the
easiest possible boat to build.
On my way to Appleton, WI this week...

Hello, all. What a fountain of info we have here, including visits
from PCB!
Already have my Windsprint plans, a model is in the works, first.
Can't start until I've finished skimming the rest of the archive, hate
to miss out on something.
Any Windsprints near Portland, OR?
