Re: The Cormorant has landed

Hi Aaron --

Yes, Cormorant is the design name. Design by Jim Michalak, 31 feet long.

I still haven't settled on a name for the boat itself. Several keep
percolating in my mind. Given the level of finish I managed, I've been
considering painting "Keep Back 500 Feet" on the transom. It looks
pretty good in these pictures, but up close, it's a mess of dings,
gouges, unfair joints, etc. This was supposed to be the boat where I
finally did it all perfectly; instead, I repeated many of my errors
from smaller boats, at larger scale. Oh well -- it'll float and it'll
go when the wind blows, and that's all that matters to me.

All best,
Garth

Hi all --

Cormorant got flipped upright this weekend. It was a wonderful day,
and it's great to see it sitting right-side-up.
