Thanks for the nice words, Bruce. The gentleman with the Friesian
Schouw (sp) was John Walker from just south of Peterborough. John's
no amateur builder having worked for a number of boatbuilders
including C&C at one time. However this was his own work he did out
of love - thus amateur. John's now retired and volunteers/works in
the Canoe Museum.
I'll be putting a report together for Chuck, as per his request,
including some more pics. And the story of my wife, the avid non-
boater, being talked into paddling one of the Mouses for a photo
shoot for the local paper!
Bruce, you forgot to mention that we all had a peek at Sue Davis's
plans for her I60. What an amazing boat!

It was a real three Mousketeer party with three of Gavin Atkin's
Mouse boats in attendance. Two standard (Sue and Amanda) and a Fisher
Mouse by Bryant.
A nicely done Mollyhawk, the 18' version of my own belove Twisted
Seahawk popped in. I got to try it, and it was a dream to row,
I brought my Sport Dory, in its new RCMP colour scheme. Its
camoflauge to keep the river cops away from Peter Lenihan's stash of
throat charmer.
A nice fellow, whose name I forgot, brought a beautiful rendition of
a Freisland Scow, about an 18' day sailor, gaff rigged, lee boards
and a 5mm finish. He forgot his boom and couldn't sail. But the
closer you got the better it looker, right down to nose on gun'wale
range.
Not like my efforts at all, which look better at 50' or more.
Had a nice lunch and dinner. A cool row around the island and a tour
of Peterborough, Ontario.
