Paint density

This is a bit like asking how long is a piece of string and not much
to do with Bolger boats, but maybe someone can help.

I'm trying to decide whether to paint a new glass-carbon-epoxy hull.
(Don't get excited, it's under 2m long and designed for radio-
controlled pond sailing).

Standard advice is not to paint it, because paint will add
unnecessary weight and it won't be in the sun long enough for UV
light to damage the surface. But, although the surface finish is
quite good, I think I can improve it. What's more I'd like a nice
light, bright colour (dayglo green?). Also, inevitably there'll be
damage that will need to be repaired.

My question is: what is the density of dry acrylic paint? Any units
of measurement will do, as long as I know what they are. Assuming a
total thickness of 5/1000", it'll be easy enough to get a fairly
accurate estimate of the total weight.
