Picture up-date for Windermere

Bolgerados,

After some gentle prodding from a few of you,I have posted
some recent pictures here:

The quality of the pictures leave something to be desired as
do my editing skills.Nevertheless, for those who have built before
or who are building now ,they may make some sense :-)

Work has been progressing from forward and working my way
aft.The forepeak is now completed(except for paint which will have
to wait for summer),as is the forward cockpit sole.Inside the
cabin,the helmstation sole,access hatches and demi-bulkhead(forward
of CB box) are done as is,now, the centerboard box
installation.Framing out of salon sole and dinette will soon follow
early in the New Year once the boat yard opens after its holiday
closure. The aft stateroom has been serving well as work
shop/sanding shop/paint shop and will continue this role until mid-
spring when I expect temps to be nice enough to get outside the
cabin. Also,by then,I bloody well had be ready to get that den of
inequity finished as this will be the last bit for the insides :-)

Apart from all the normal fun one often associates with bellow
freezing temperatures, about the only real frustration to date has
been dealing with incredible cure time for the epoxy......can you
say 4 to 5 days? Sure ya can..........this of course makes for some
rather tedious working habits and things have to be planned in
reverse to their normal summer routines. That is, epoxy work has to
be done as early in the day as possible to take full advantage of
the relatively warmer day-time temps and my own efforts at heating
with a small electric furnace. In summer,I usually sand and prep
everything during the day and leave the epoxying for last, where it
can cure overnight and I'm not getting the stuff all over myself :-)

Thank goodness for Porto and friends,as these two elements
help immeasurably in maintaining my motivation and happiness during
this bleak time of the seasons.

Anyhow, I will be back at it in the New Year and hope to have
even better photos to share. Let me know if you have any questions
arising from the latest batch...

Sincerely,
