This message is purely facetious, but I recall reading somewhere a discussion
of the difference between Canadian and U.S. requirements regarding the number
of engines mandated for certain passenger aircraft. As I recall, the
Canadian opposition to U.S. mandated requirements was that having 2 engines
simply doubled the possibilities of failure!! Obviously, a "one-engine-out"
scenario in an airplane attempting to take off is a matter entirely different
from a floating boat with 1/2 power, even if asymmetric. Sorry, I just had to
gas a bit and can't readily figure out how to cancel this reply.
