RE: [bolger] Re: "Proper" 12 step program help

Sounds like boat-building is the gateway to alcoholism.

All boosted beverages allowed! My only exception would be with the
Aqua Velva and shoe polish boys. There ain't a program yet with
enough steps to help those puppies!

Little does Peter know that Bruce IS talking about the master
bedroom! Some things are best not fully revealed.

Hey don't knock it until you've tried it. Can be purchased at any 7-
11 any time of day and is almost tax-free as well:-)

Actually I have never tried shoe polish. Any tips on a good mix? Now
Aqua Velva mixed with Sprite is a big hit with some of my lady
friends. Not something I would serve on Lestat though. Nothing but
full-bodied reds in keeping with the spaghetti sauce accents on the
sole:-)

Cheers, Nels
PS I checked under the winter cover and only a hand full of snow that
had drifted into the motorwell. Totally ucacceptable and was
immediatlely removed and sealed off!

Bruce,

What is that quaint saying about the "journey of a thousand
miles begins with the first step"? Well,it looks like you are well
on your way:-)
Thanks for the report card however I must note that I do have
some grave concerns regarding what you consider your "favorite room"
especially"if you value your family" To wit,I would have thought a
chamber decorated with fine lace, perfumed with flowers and layered
in down filled comforters would have been a prime choice to follow
the 12 step program especially since swiqaroa should really be
included into this maddness:-)
Sorry, no extra credit for talking like a pirate. That is usually
only applicable in the last week of April, during Talk Like A Pirate
Week.

Keep us abreast of your therapy :-)

Sincerely,

D - I, more or less, got that one under control <g>, having only built two
separate boats [or three, I can't remember] plus pehaps a
dozen boat models, between starting and finishing my Micro Navigator.

Grade Point average, 0.67. Arrrgh.

When they couldn't fit any more fat beer drinkers in the boat.

Bill (a fat beer drinker)

Jon,
They don't sell "5-packs" so consider it a bonus beer:-) And yes,
a lovely tall shot glass ought to work just fine,so long as ya
doesn't go all loopy and pour yerself more then the prescribed 5
shots + a bonus shot in the end ;-) Is amateur boatbuilding fun or
what :-D

Happy Building ta ya!

I think you only need a five pack but I don't drink beer so can I use
a shot glass with that favorite Cannok Club and go from there?

A tall shot glass maybe.

Jon
Alrighty folks, what's with all the gnashing of teeth and groanings
for aid.Amateur boatbuilding is not a disease :-)
But if a "12 step" program works for you,try this one out for size:

1)decide what type of boat you need(row, sail, power etc..)

2)check out as many plan sources as possible(webpages, classified
section of boating magazines etc..)

3)order study plans for your top 6 choices(important to limit it to
6 only)

4)buy six-pack of your favorite beer,bottles only.

5)lay out your 6 top choices of study plans in a circle,on the
floor,in your favorite room.

6)drink one beer. When finished, place bottle in middle of study plan
circle and spin it clockwise(anti-clockwise for you antipodeans:-D )

7)Immediately discard the study plan the spinning bottle points to
when it stops spinning.

8)Repeat step 7 until only one study plan remains. This will be your
next boat to build!

9)buy one top-shelf bottle of your favorite hooch and celebrate
right away.It is important to do this immediately following the
final choice.

10)as soon as reasonably possible, proceed with the purchasing of
lumber,supplies etc for your boat.

11)begin building as much as possible as supplies allow. It is
permissible to further enjoy the fruits of your labours with
medicinal doses of your favorite juice at this point.Do not stop
building until you launch.

12)repeat steps 1 through 11 when time permits but only AFTER the
first boat is launched! This is important to keep follow!

BONUS STEP!(13) Take lots of pictures to share with friends on the
net, have fun, enjoy the building process and fertheloveofchrist quit
being such a big baby whinning about every little screw-up you do.It
ain't gonna sink on ya tomorrow:-)

Sincerely,

Peter Lenihan, who particularily enjoys step 11,especially since the
Doctor increased my dose :-D
