things up in the loft of the reading room/library, organized, NO.
The reading room has a grand collection of old books from chappelle,
chapman, gardner, Hershoff(sp?) etc. Great place, and the boat shop
across the road(traditional building methods)is great.
Jason
> financial reasons take precedent over what I read each month.Bolger writes of this principle in the essay about the
divorced guy living in the boat in a slough behind
a gas station, saying that the library kept collections
of National Geographic and Wooden Boat more orderly
than he could do so anyway.
Does *any* library, or person, besides Bob Hicks,
keep a complete collection of the magazine issues
of Messing About in Boats?
I have subscribed on and off for four years but some financial
reasons take president over what I read each month. I love MAIB
but short of robbing banks when I need the money I just can't afford
it at times. Soon more money comes in and I renew my subscription.
One of these days soon I will not be regulated and I will be able to
afford my reading material when I need it.
In the time between would someone be so kind as to place pictures
and the article up for us unfortunates to peruse the wonderful new
additions to La Cabotin.
Thank You
John

Not wrong, really. At the risk of being pedantic ["so what's new?"]. Loose
Moose 2 was the name of one particular 'original version' AS39, Bob
Archibald's, iirc. 'Le Cabotin' is the name of Jean and Gaby's 'new style'
AS39, if that's indeed what PB&F are callin the reworked design. No MAIB to
hand, alas.
Did someone already mention that they have a website covering some of the
work at
http://cf.geocities.com/lecabotin/
cheers

You aren't wrong. Le Cabotian is PB&F's evolution of
the Loose Moose II.
I'd like to see a motor sailer version.

There was an update, with photos, in MAIB in the last month or so. If you
aren't already subscribing to MAIB, you should! It will be the best $30
you've spent this year.

Except for post 38002 by Bruce Holman there is no more mention of
this boat its voyage or its current disposition. Does anyone have
any news? After a ot af faxing to P.C. Bolger he suggested it would
serve well as my winter home sailing to Mexico and returning to
Oregon each spring. Is the boat and crew safe? I hope for this
outcome. Can someone please let me know if there is anymore new of
the craft, please?
