Hi, Peter;

The "link" worked for me! This wasn't my inquiry, but I'm happy that
you are on top of things. I have what purports to be a 2005 "Master Catalog"
from West Marine, but could find neither these tracks nor the sail slides
anywhere in it. I'm old enough so that this was standard technology when I was
young. The luff-rope-in-a-groove system that is the new standard may have been a
boon to sailmakers, boatselllers and competitive sailors, but the "old" "slide
and track" system was, IMHO, a more civilized arrangement for lazy sailors like
me.

Ciao for Niao,
Bill in MN

No clue what plans for what boat, but here's a thought: mast hoops.
Make them yourself or buy them.

If you google Sail Track you will get a lot of hits.

longer carry sail track?!
Go with Bruces' suggestion,they do have track in 6 and 12 foot lengths:

http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?
storeId=10001&langId=-
1&catalogId=10001&productId=71951&catalogId=10001&classNum=494&subdeptN
um=448&storeNum=2

Hope the link works!

West Marine has it in their catalogue, and the
stores will order the 12 foot lengths upon
request, saving you the freight cost.

Try Defender Industries,in the U.S.A. A google search ought to pop
the web page for them,if they have one.Bought my Micro sail track from
them 12 years ago...........

Received my plans today, studying the Sailmakers Apprentice and the
Gaff Rig Handbook (ISBN 0-93782206701 - an exceedingly nice book and
highly recommended!) for days plus surfing the web for supplies.

The one item not located is mast track. Lots of folks have the
little
travelers, cringles, etc but no track. Does anyone know of a source?
