The best primer on electric boating is Douglas Little's _Electric Boats_ . Now out of
print, plenty of copies are still floating around.

My thanks to all who have replied thus far. It sounds like I'm on
the right track. I'm especially intrigued by the slipper stern

The problem is that I really want to use the boat for fishing. I
can't see treating a pretty boat the way fishing skiffs tend to be
treated. Either way, I like the idea of electric power. Once
again, any pointers will be much appreciated.
