I've been using two sets of "eye" bolts and a metal rod which I learned from
John Harris at CLC. I drill the hole big enough to accomadate the nut on a
small eye bolt with a press fit. Put some thickened epoxy in, then press in
bolt and nut and fill with more thickened epoxy. Press fit lets you adjust
the position and larger surface area lets more epoxy bond to wood. Clyde
