Actually this is well known in the world of cabinet makers

Amish have some issue with electricity and use hand crank diesel hydraulic pumps.

And I suppose there are different 'degrees' of being Amish, at least when it comes to advertising with the phrase 'Amish made'.

Yes, I ask myself "where do they get the compressed air/hydraulic fluid
under pressure?" I doubt it's from a horse walking around in circles
which is about as high tech as they allow. Wind or water mill perhaps?
