Re: Additional Surf images loaded on bolger4photos group

Rock, Sarph is a great looking example of Surf.

Do you have any pics of Sarph underway sailing? It'd be nice to see
her getting along in a breeze.

How does your rudder work Rock? Is it deep enough when trimmed level
with only one crew aboard (seems fairly high empty)? Also I'd be
pleased to know, if you don't mind, how you rate her performance under
oars? And, how you rate her for the ease (difficulty?) of reboarding
from deep water?

Thanks for posting the pics Rock.

Graeme

She's a real little ship, isn't she? Are you using the single
leeboard, as per plan? If so, how does it work out?

You've built a shallow balancing rudder to replace the deep
conventional one on the plan. How does it perform? Not overbalanced?

Beautiful work Rock!

I particularly was impressed with the garboards and also the level of
finish of the interior.

Perhaps you could refresh us as to the materials you used? Type and
thickness of plywood, paint and interior finish etc.

One of my favorite designs and a perfect rendition:-)
