Re: [bolger] Digest Number 2568

Hi John, really glad to see I'm not the only old goat out here!!!!! Do you
have Thunderstorms with Lightning and such?? My bride of 51 yrs. can stand
the heat, but she and my old dog fight for space under the bed in a
thunder-storm.

Well now? Here in the Antelope Valley we are getting 100 degrees F almost
every day. Even with high temp epoxy the stuff sets up before you can use it.
Plus we did get a real rainstorm for a short while last week (I lucked out the
center board case had not been installed on the Cartopper yet, at least the
limber holes all did their job.)
Long term project for a simple boat. I can work outside with no cover from
about 6 AM to 8 then again in the evening from about 6 PM to 8 again.
Oh Well, no water near here to float or sail her anyway, but just like to
build things. With my 80 year old eye balls the project is not going to be
pretty like the ones I did years ago, will have to buy a gallon of Bondo to fill
the errors I think.
A new Home Center (Lowes) is going to open near here on the 5th so will see
if they have a good random orbital sander on their opening sale. Plus maybe a
better band saw. My three wheeler keep breaking blades with those small
wheels.
