back at it Ref. Tapaz
I am not sure this is going out right as the format on my comp seems to
have changed in the last 4 months. and can't get the web page up.
To those interested, we were in Fl. for the last 4-5 and have just returned
to continue the Topaz.
To those who might have sent messages prior to April, please try again. I
just resumed my e-mail and had 829 messages waiting. Called the provider
and had all wiped out except April on as I am not that patient.
The topaz was in a pole barn over the Mich. winter and so faired well. I
went out yesterday alone and got it out of the barn and onto the trailer I
just got welded up. Got a great deal on it while in Fl. from a German who
was sailing out from Glades for three years. Back to the boat. Luck was
with me as a dozer was just returned by my friends worker which gave me the
needed muscle to remove the boat along with two floor jacks on wheels.
Once out I cranked it up with the trailer winch after pushing the aft end
of the trailer down under with the dozer blade. She sits well there. In
fact, viewed on the trailer she is pretty. I was impressed at how narrow
she seems however as I have put up with crazy boaters all over Fl. I
wonder how stable she will be among those characters. after loading, I
hauled her home on the back of the little chevy tracker which was a piece
of cake. Will send pics along to duckworks soon as I get them. Brad
