Re: [bolger] PL Premium test

I've been plying with the caulking tube version of PL. Had a failure that
needs to be reported. glued a small block of wood to un scuffed gel coat.
Didn't hold adequately. Other test have been very good.

The proof will be what happens after 5 years on a boat. If you
are using it above the water line and in an area that does not
get wet you should be fine.

I have called most of the makers of this kind of glue and they
are all very sure it is not to be used below the water line. It
may just be CYA but I would listen to them.

If it would pass the boiling and freezing cycles I might have more
faith in it but I would still be leary in joints that are always in
contact with the water.
