The Happy Adventure has a new 9.9 yamaha high-thrust. It is
amazing. Hull speed at 6 mph is achieved with 2000 rpm. The quiet,
efficient and cost effective cruising is a joy. It seems to have
brakes in reverse and handles like a car. Slow is the way to go
when you are always home.

I received my Transport Canada hull identification plate and am
cleared for 6 passengers. Due to the length (5.95M) and 9.9 motor,
no licence is required under the regulations. I had the police do a
courtesy check on the water and all he said was any one spending
this kind of effort to build a boat is not going to be a problem,
wished me well and asked a lot of quesions about life on board.

The happy adventure (I monitor channel 68) will be cruising the
Rideau River and canal system

ending up at the Kingston messabout for some wine and cheese
diplomacy. Hope to see you there, Paul - in a wonderful world of
boating thanks to Phil Bolger and Friends along with a lot of his
disciples in this group.
