That sure is true.

One thing I failed to mention is that Flickr has a 'search' tool
that should vastly improve the ability to find the needle in a haystack,
regardless of which folder the photo is located within.

Frankly, I don't care too much over how many groups the files and
photos are distributed, as long as I can find them quickly, i.e. there
is a system, say designs "A to G" are in group X, "H to L" are in
group Y, or something similar ...

Right now, if I remember that there are somewhere photos, I have to
search through 6 or 7 bolger groups, Boatdesign, Michalak,
WoodenPowerBoats, ... to find them.

Even with a large storage space it is the same: Are there folders by
design, or by author, or ....

I think all agree that the fragmentation of the photos
for the Bolger group is hard to follow. The root of
the evil is Yahoo corporate policy of limiting capacity
in any one given group.

Recently, Yahoo has purchased the 'free' photo storage
website called 'Flickr'. And, they have merged the
login process so that your Yahoo account name
and password can log you into both sites.

Flickr has *vastly* greater storage allowances
for photos, so I propose that we begin to use
Flickr to store our shared Bolger photos, all
in one place. See:

http://www.flickr.com/groups/bolgerboats/

I added one photo to start, but everybody
else could add photos their too. After
a while, we could be free from having
the confusion of multiple photo storage
locations.

I initially took the role of 'admin' but I hope to
share that job with other people who volunteer
and share it communally,

[which I think would mostly involve keeping the spam out.]

Adding photos is pretty easy, first you add them to your
own Flickr space, then you drag and drop them on the
Bolgerboats Flickr group space.
You have to go to the home page of each group, click on the "Join This
Group" button and follow the instructions. Don't forget there is
Bolger4 and Bolger4photos.
