painting

I have been following what is said about hardeners in paint. I know it is
more cost than household paint but far less than marine. you could look at
auto paint. What I am referring to is the acrylic based type. I have used
it with the hardener included on dingy's, kayak's and a 31 ft. tri. The
problem you may have is on a larger boat it is to get an overall gloss as
it dries fast even with the slower extender. So a clear coat is required.
This is a polyurethane with hardener used on cars to give that Gloss that
cars are noted for. This of course requires a hardener and spraying as
does the first. You might even check out your parts store for high build
primer. They have polyurethane with hardener that should work well.
Compared with what I would have to pay and then have shipped it was a
bargain.
At this point, I have invested too much in the Tapaz to cut corners on
paint but would like to if I knew for sure what the out come would be using
regular latex.
