more about fillets
I know Glen got a lot of grief about using fillets at the
bulkhead/side interface, but I am going to propose another deviation
from the "way" anyhow. Why not use polyster (Bondo) for the fillets,
then cover with tape/epoxy. The application I have in mind is the
fillets in multichine hulls. Arent these fillets supposed to take
compression loads? If the radius were kept smallish, wouldn't the
tape on the inside and outside of the joint provide enough strength?
The advantage would be much less mixing time, much less waiting time,
and much less expense.
