Re: [bolger] oldshoe is it a suitable first boat building effort
Gary,
I am currently building an Oldshoe. I knew nothing of any method of
boatbuilding when I first became interested in building boats, so I built a
Tortoise first (6 ft 5 in). There are some things that you would have to
know to build an Oldshoe successfully that are specific to "instant"
boatbuilding, as compared to other methods of boatbuilding, but if you were
willing to do some reading, I don't think it would be a problem.
I have a small e-mail group for those who are interested in building,
are building or own completed Oldshoe projects. I would be happy to add you
to the list if you are interested.
Regards, Warren
