Re: [bolger] AS29: new Bolger model that's beefier and stouter?
I now have a scanner at home and if somebody knows the MAIB issue, I
should have it.

If you are interested in a reworking of the AS29 along current PB&F lines
[steel bottom, all-season insulation /floatation &c.] then I _strongly_
suggest you contact the Bolgers directly and tell them so. Such a design is
in the pipeline.
My MAIB back issues are not to hand, but if no-one else supplies the
information I'll be able to supply the details in a few days. The
alterations to the original AS29 covered in MAIB were relatively minor,
IIRC. A raised house forward, and a rounded lump under the bow to mitigate
slapping are the two that spring to mind.
cheers

My MAIB back issues are not to hand, but if no-one else supplies the
information I'll be able to supply the details in a few days. The
alterations to the original AS29 covered in MAIB were relatively minor,
IIRC. A raised house forward, and a rounded lump under the bow to mitigate
slapping are the two that spring to mind.

PBolgers newer version in MAIB that's stouter and heavier: any info on
it? I believe it was a few years ago in MAIB where he detailed a newer
version. Can anyone recall it or its characteristics? We are
contemplating building a AS29 but would like it a bit stronger,
perhaps with steel plate bolted on the bottom.. Thanks and best
holiday wishes.
