Re: new member saying hello

Your boat sounds great - how about a few pictures, then? That sail
seems SO BIG in the pics that I have seen - a bit like the main on a
Long Micro!

Welcome!

My name is Tim Coughlin from Windsor Ontario Canada, (Lake St Clair, Detroit River) proud owner of a beautiful mahoghany/douglas fir Birdwatcher . . . greetings - have been reading and watching the conversation for a few days - interesting!

I sit down inside when sailing, stand up to yuloh and stand up when motoring with my electric to re enter the harbour . . . I have the Solent lug rig and am still getting used to it . . . bendy mast and non bendy yard make for strange sail set at times - especially when it breezes up - haven't reefed yet . . . any other Birders out there?
