Re: Nymph rub rails

I used firehose as a rubrail for my Bolger Nymph. A friend of mine is
a local firefighter and gave me some old firehose which was to be
discarded. I cut the hose length-wise into two long pieces. I
wrapped a piece around the rub rail and secured it with stainless
steel screws and finishing washers. One row of screws is inserted
from inside the hull horizontally thru the fire hose and into the rub
rail. A second row of screws is inserted from beneath the rubrail,
up through the firehose and into the rub rail. It looks good and
has held up about 3 or 4 seasons so far.

You can see some pictures of my Nymph on my web site at
members.home.net/michaelgalvin. These pictures unfortunately were
taken before I installed the rubrail.

Hello, I'm a new member and will be completing my Nymph next month. I
will be using her as a dingy for my trimaran and would like to know
how to install a canvas rub rail.
