Hey - great news Graeme!

I wonder how much he is asking for his LM and if it includes the
trailer, which will likely fit the Sneakeasy as well?

Hoping we get to see some photos of both of them on the water:-)

Hi Greg, Ross, Bill, Nels, and all Long Micro lovers,

Good news. I phoned Andrew yesterday afternoon. I got a fax first
try, then a blank, then the man himself. He's sailed his Long Micro
at Lake Macquarie, and Westernport Bay, and has her up for sale. He
has built a Sneakeasy with modifications. He has pics of LM sailing.
He may look in here soon. I think he said he may be able to put his
LM site up again, which would be great.

cheers
Graeme

Hi William

The email does indeed, bounce back and I have rung the telephone
number and there is no answer in business hours so I guess it has
moved on and maybe Andrew is between buisnesses or something.

Rival Design Lists in the Whitepages but the that is the number that
I rang with no result

No cheap daytime phone rates i'm afraid :( but I can try a few of
the likelies perhaps. I'll try and have rels in the region have a
look at that Seaford factory address and see if it matches with that
in the photo:

(There's a heap of businesses related to furniture manufacturing and
wholesaling in that Seaford industrial neighbourhood that appear on
various web directories, but alas not Rival Designs, Cumberland Dr.
If it's the one, perhaps their IT person left at the time Andrew's
site dropped out, or perhaps he was their IT-ist and he went
elsewhere.)

I have had the same results Bill.

Perhaps an interprising soul with a cheap phone rate to that area
could call Rival and see if he still works there? And leave a
message that folks all over the world are in admiration of his Long
Micro and would like to update the photo files or see an article in
Duckworks:-)

I recall I had planned to download and save his building
information - which was impeccable - but I had a very slow dial-up
connection at the time. Then when I got broadband it was one of the
first places I went to and it was gone!

He even had a friend who was perhaps willing to make copies of the
tabernacle hardware out of stainless steel, since he had the
templates and access to a plasma cutting machine!

Sorry to hear that once again you have to brave the elements in the
Caribean Bill!

Nels Where outside my window it is snowing and blowing and the
temperature -14 C (17 F).
Greg,
I emailed Andrew at that address in June of 2005. I tried twice but both
emails bounced,
saying that the address did not exist.

Would someone like to try again? We should avoid bombarding him with multiple
emails. I am about to board yet another airplane and will be unavailable
for a few days.
Thoughts?
