One of the many misconceptions of Loose Moose was that with its narrow beams it was
not roomy inside...While we were in the Canaries our boat became the place where
everyone would come over and watch videos because most of the larger boats actually had
less interior space than LM2 ( I think we had ten people over for videos and popcorn one
evening) For a couple living aboard LM2 was actually palatial.
For anyone considering building a boat one of the really big problems is that its easy for a
designer to draw a very cool interior but drawing one that works after it has been built is
another thing entirely. Sheila and I have lived abord boats since 1980 and as our business
is selling yacht charters (http://www.paradiseconnections.com) we inspect a couple of
hundred boats every year and it is amazing just how different a boat can be in the
brouchure and the actual boat.

Blog ahead captain!!! That's gonna be some fun, interesting reading
I'll bet. Sooner the better. TRIPOD.COM has some great free packages
for webspace and is really easy to use and edit. We've had a sailing
site for a few years now: just banner ads up top but folks scroll
out of that right away. Our site for example:
http://wyldluv.tripod.com
Go for it and best building wishes. I envy you too.

I'm sure you wish Bob & Sheila well, and that wouldn't deny it to them
in order to have it for yourself. It can't be that bad really.

Sounds great! Are you going to do the upgraded version?

Send pictures.
Just a quick note to say that Sheila and I are in the process of getting ready to build Loose
Moose 3. Sorting out a short list for the new boat has been a real experience and while
much of it has been of the head banging sort it has certainly been an educational
experience getting down to the final short list.
The new boat will have a lot of the refinements we have been playing with on our current
boat "So It Goes" Electric drives and long range satelite communication WIFI stuff...We are
currently doing our charter and film business at anchor from pretty much anywhere we
happen to be within the Caribbean basin...So no longer have to give it up to go cruising !
In the very near future I will begin a design and construction blog covering the design
process and the preperation for the build and of course the build as it happens...In the
process of looking forward I have unearthed some stuff from the previos two Losse
Moose's and will be including some photos and such as I have a chance to scan them.
Beautiful day here in St Martin!
