Try this link for tyvek sailmaking.

The link is from the mother of all maritime links, truly the greatest link
site on the web. You could while away a liftime in there.

Jim Michalak's site has a lot of real good info on rigging a sprit rig.

George,
I've built two poly tarp sails now and have used a couple of ways of
connecting them to the mast. You can go the traditional route of grommets
laced to the mast which looks quaintly salty, but I found a simpler method.
As suggested in many poly sail instructions I put a bolt rope in the edge of
the sail that attaches to the spar, then I use a hot soldering gun to melt a
small hole through the sail flush against the bolt rope. I then either use
1/8" cord sail ties to attach to the spar, or small nylon cable ties. This
of course works best for sprit, lug or lateen sails where the sail doesn't
have to slide up and down the spar.
Just my two cents worth.
